Our Nun and Kun
Nun Kun: The Twin Peaks of the Himalayas
Nun Kun is a famous twin-peaked mountain massif located in the Zanskar Range of the western Himalayas, straddling the borders of Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir. The two prominent peaks, Nun (7,135 meters) and Kun (7,077 meters) are separated by a snowy plateau. Nun Kun has historically drawn mountaineers and adventurers since the early 1900s. The peaks are revered by locals and have cultural significance, inspiring spiritual connections with nature and mountains. Climbers find its rugged terrain both challenging and rewarding.

- The school will not be involved in politics, religion, or business and will not be linked to any such groups.
- All school money and property will only be used to improve students’ education and facilities, helping them grow academically and in other skills.
- No one will be allowed to take any part of the school’s property for personal profit, and any individual or group will never own the school.
- The main goal is to provide quality education to children from poor backgrounds, helping them grow into good and responsible citizens, no matter their gender or background.

Our History
Where Learning Meets Excellence
Taisuru is a remote area in Kargil, about 70 km from Zanskar, many people face big challenges like poverty, ignorance, and lack of education. Even in today’s world of science and technology, the area still lacks basic facilities. A group of caring and respected people decided to change this by starting an English Medium school, "The Noon Public High School." They hoped to improve education and create a better future for the children. A committee of local educated people, sincere youths, and parents came together to help run the school.
